What people are saying
“Of course I peed my pants! Everybody my age pees their pants; it’s the coolest! … You ain’t cool unless you pee in your pants.” – Sonny Koufax (Big Daddy)
“Well, it’s not cool. It’s actually quite embarrassing and just because it’s common does not mean it’s normal. Over the past few years I have struggled with exercise induced incontinence and the only solutions my OB/GYN would offer me was medication or surgery. Thanks to my friend Dr. Jess I knew that pelvic floor therapy was the route I wanted to take.
Over the past few weeks, Awaken Pelvic Physical Therapy has prescribed mindful breathing and active stretching exercises along with reprogramming my bathroom schedule that have completely stopped any more incidents and improved my overall performance and movement patterns.
Today I graduated from what I’ve dubbed “potty training” but will continue monthly maintenance to keep my body operating properly. I can not thank Jess enough for sharing her knowledge and helping me heal”
“I cannot rave enough about my experience with Dr. Jessie at Awaken Pelvic PT! Before seeing Dr. Jessie, I thought peeing a little when I coughed and/or sneezed was “normal”. In fact, I would joke with other moms about how after the birth of my first child, I can’t do these normal activities without needing a pantyliner. However, after meeting Dr. Jessie I learned that contrary to what Billy Madison, Adam Sandler, says “ you ain’t cool unless you pee your pants!” It’s not cool! 😅 After a couple of sessions and following my at home instructions, I not only sneeze/cough with confidence, I also don’t have pelvic discomfort from tight muscles. But that’s not all! Dr. Jessie has also helped me with my shoulder pain and discomfort. She goes above and beyond for her patients. She even came with me to the gym and gave me tips and how to appropriately work out without over compensating or straining my muscles. She is AMAZING!! I recommend her to everyone I meet! She can help with so many things.”
